Why Suffer Pain Unnecessarily?
Osteopathy is a hands-on holistic treatment (involving the whole body) for relaxing, releasing and re-aligning the body structure. It is a safe and effective approach to treat injuries and improve health.
Osteopathic treatment at the practice is carried out by Simon Turgoose D.O. MSc(Paed Ost) and Tara Turgoose BSc(Ost) who qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1990 and 1992 respectively.
After graduating Simon initially worked in the northwest of England, helping to set up NHS contracts for Osteopathy on the Wirral, and setting up his own practice in Manchester in 1993. Tara spent her former post-graduate years in private practice in London and worked at the Osteopathic Centre for Children from1995-97. She joined Simon in Manchester in 1997 and they opened a second clinic in Chorlton, Manchester in 1999.
After the birth of their first son, Simon and Tara decided to re-locate to London to be near their families.
They set up the Bromley practice at home in 2002 as well as working in group osteopathic practices in East Dulwich and Sevenoaks.
Simon has also studied at the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy between 2006-08 and gained a Masters degree in paediatric Osteopathy. Both osteopaths are very experienced in structural, cranial and paediatric approaches and attend regular post-graduate training to keep up to date with professional developments.
Simon and Tara are fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and their treatment is covered by most health insurers.
